Accounting Assistant (Kelowna)

compensation: Based on experience
employment type: contract

A well established film company with production offices in Kelowna is is searching for an Accounting Assistant to join the existing accounting team. Please see below for details;

Accounts Payables
-Entering Invoices, POs, PC etc.
-Cheque runs
-Vendor reconciliation
-Scanning, Filing and other duties

Payroll
-Accumulating documents for payroll processing
-Securing necessary approvals
-Collating paperwork for scanning
-BC Residency
Other accounting duties as directed by the Production & Payroll accountants.

Requirements
-Must be a Canadian citizen and resident of BC or a permanent resident in BC
-Familiar with MS Office Suite of Products
-Experience with accounting software (preferred but not required)
-Excellent language and communication skills
-Experience in working in an office environment is preferred
-Experience/exposure to working in an accounting department (preferred but not required)
-High sense of confidentiality

Though this is a contract position, show to show we expect there to be work for most if not all of the year.
