MYRYAD T-50 Preamplifier - Process designed and manufactured in England......Quite rare in near mint condition c/w OBM
Myryad was formed in the 1995 by the redoubtable Chris Evans (ex Arcam and NAD) and other family members, and in that time has generated two ranges of midmarket hi-fi components, apparently with considerable commercial success both in the UK and abroad.
The T-50 has been designed to offer a combination of high quality sound reproduction yet simple and elegant styling. The T-50 forms the heart of a full home cinema system and should be used in conjunction with a multi channel power amplifier or a suitable number of separate mono or stereo power amplifiers.
The T-50 is a high quality preamplifier that also provides Dolby Pro Logic processing and can accommodate 5.1 channel discrete digital sound. It offers the user the choice of high performance multi-channel audio whilst preserving a clean path back to stereo.
The T-50 can accept up to seven line-level input sources, including one tape recorder with off tape monitoring. It has three operational modes: Stereo Direct which delivers the shortest signal path for two-channel stereo, Stereo surround which creates musical surround sound from conventional stereo sources and Dolby Pro Logic for full Home Cinema surround sound from suitably encoded sources. In addition there is a 6-channel line input designed to accept discrete multi-channel signals from an external Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG source such as an outboard decoder or DVD player.
