Personal Care Worker Required
Location: Kelowna (not accessible by public transit)

We are currently recruiting multiple Personal Support Workers for a male client who has complex health care needs, who lives in Kelowna. This client requires assistance with ventilator, suctioning, and trachelectomy care, all aspects of daily living, as well as assistance with transfers.

Individuals must be motivated to learn all aspects of the ventilator and trach care, such as suctioning, inner cannula changes, cleaning inner cannula, cleaning stoma site, cough assists, lung recruitment, as well as, any other related duties. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a driver’s license, and their own mode of transportation.

Shifts & Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Additional shifts may also be available to provide coverage for other staff when they are on vacation or sick

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
Assist with Activities of Daily Living: such as bathing/showering, dressing, oral hygiene and grooming
Assist the client with transfers using a ceiling lift
Meal preparation, and assistance with feeding
Range of motion exercises
Performing various light housekeeping tasks
Assisting client with errands

Required Qualifications:
Caregiving Experience
Experience with ventilator, suctioning, and trachelectomy care (additional training will be provided)
Good Communicator
Reliable/ punctual
Driver’s Licence and own mode of transportation
