Position suits a handy person familiar with all aspects of building repairs and general maintenance issues,
including, basic repairs, painting, grounds keeping and general supervision of the property to ensure that everyone has quite peaceful enjoyment of their unit and common areas.
Deal effectively with tenants using the tools of the BC Landlord and Tenancy Act, and a signed rental agreement.
Know basic computer usage skills, like email, and basic letter writing, and search skills.
Have access to a truck, van or trailer to be able to transport supplies, dump runs, pick-up new appliances, etc., (paid $0.60/km).
Know or learn the applicable parts of the BC Landlord and Tenant Act and follow the rules.
Ability to ensure that rents are paid directly to bank and issue rent receipts.
Log work activities; unit occupancies; rents on monthly form and remit form by the 10th of following month.
Hours are mostly flexible to suit your schedule and as needed, and should be between 40 and 80 hrs a month, depending on requirements.
On-site housing may be available, or live in OK Falls.
I used to live here and do this job when I was a single father, plus I had a full time mill job.
Pay rate to start at $19/hr and increase to $21.50 after 3 months or 120 hours, with a further increase to $24 after one year, and $26.50/hour after 2 years and $28.84 after 3 years, plus 4% holiday pay.
Additional yearly performance bonuses for achieving reasonable revenue goals, occupancy levels, and property presentation.
