Administrative Assistant - Full-time Position – 35 hrs per week

We are seeking an energetic individual to join and assist our Administration Team.

The Administrative Assistant enhances the public’s impression of SOSBIS by providing efficient, professional, courteous, and personalized service to members, clients, other agencies, stakeholders and the general public with whom SOSBIS interacts. The Administrative Assistant assists the Executive Director with tasks associated with the agency strategic plan and general administration duties.

Duties Include:
• Support to create a map of the revenue generating options for the next three years
• Support to develop a comprehensive resource development plan, with measurable benchmarks and clearly defined roles and responsibilities, to achieve the plan’s goals
• Research available grant options and create a calendar of grants to apply for
• Review existing Board and staff orientation materials & revise as required
• Assist the Executive Director in creating various surveys and coordinate the responses and reporting on the outcomes
• Grant writing support to develop new housing opportunities and wrap around services to enhance community responsiveness for individuals who are underserved
• Research staff training opportunities and report on options
• Marketing administrative support
• Website management
• ShareVision database management support
• Reception, relief support

Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years previous administrative experience
• Minimum secondary school graduation
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Word Press, Adobe Suite, ShareVision database and Publisher
• Valid First Aid Certificate

Other Requirements:
• A good driving record and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with your own reliable transportation
• Clean criminal record
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, experience working in team environment, be able to problem solve and an ability to work with high risk clientele
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Professionalism, integrity and ethical behaviour are expected with regard to client confidentiality and as well as matters concerning co-workers and SOSBIS
