Community Support Workers – Motel Project
Temporary Position – ends March 31, 2022

One Full-Time Position, Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
and
One Part-Time Position, Thursday – Saturday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

We are seeking energetic individuals to join our team to assist new motel placements with a smooth transitioning while in temporary housing.

Duties include:
• Interviewing new placements and assess their needs while in temporary housing based on a check list
• Contacting motel guests by daily either in person or by phone
• Assisting motel guests with suite cleaning by dropping off cleaning supplies/vacuum cleaner and picking up garbage
• Getting rooms ready for the next guest – cleaning and supplying a welcome kit with the basic necessities
• Responsible for purchasing basic personal hygiene items for male and female
• Responsible for purchasing basic necessities
• Arranging delivery of daily supplied meals and documentation of meal delivery
• Respond to motel guests enquiries and concerns

Qualifications:
• Relevant post-secondary education; Mental Health Worker Certificate, Community Support Worker Certificate, Human Service Worker Diploma, Early Childhood Education Program, Care-aid
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with multiple barrier clients
• Crisis Intervention
• First Aid Certificate, Naloxone training an asset

Other Requirements:
• A good driving record and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with your own reliable transportation
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and ShareVision
• Clean criminal record
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, experience working in team environment, be able to problem solve and an ability to work with high risk clientele.

Salary: $23.00 per hour.
