We are seeking an energetic individual to join our team to share their skills to support people with disabilities through a position of group facilitation and direct client support. The candidate will have successful recent experience facilitating education and recreational group programs. The goal of these programs will be to increase skill development and offer opportunities for supported independence. The worker will model appropriate social skills with confidence within client groups and foster healthy social interactions for people experiencing a range of Brain Injury effects.

The role will include providing direct 1-1 assistance with a flexible range of supports based on client Case Plans, in community as well as clients own home environments, so they may function successfully. He or she will support clients with problem solving and assist clients with home management tasks to increase their self-determination to achieve their supported goals.
Qualifications: Post secondary education with a Mental Health Worker Certificate or Human Service Worker Diploma or other related discipline. A minimum of two years previous experience working with people living with disability will be an asset.
Other Requirements: Reliable personal transportation, a good driving record and a class 5 driver’s license, as driving is a requirement; first aid certificate; criminal record check; computer literacy; excellent written and spoken English; good interpersonal skills.
