Part-time position - 21 hours
Local non-profit organization is seeking a part-time Janitorial Worker to provide services to our low cost housing buildings in Penticton.
The Janitorial Worker will be responsible for: cleaning all common areas of the building, including hallways, stairwells, elevators, common room, office, washrooms, laundry rooms, mechanical and storage rooms by sweeping, mopping or vacuuming floors, cleaning windows, wiping down washers and dryers, dusting furnishings and vacuuming floors. Cleaning of entrance way often, especially during inclement weather conditions to ensure safety of tenants.
As an ambassador of The Brain Injury Society, you have exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to foster and maintain relationships, and model our values in all interactions. The Janitorial Worker enjoys working with others and is highly service oriented. You are able to work independently and as a collaborative Team Member.
You are a critical thinker and problem solver, detailed and organized, pro-active, and able to manage your time, workload and conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently.
The ideal person lives in the Penticton area, within a 15 minute drive away or less with their own reliable transportation. Must be able to supply equivalent work references, and a clean criminal record check.
