Landlord Partnership Program Project
Full-Time Position - 5 days/week - contract till March 31, 2020

We are seeking an energetic individual to join our team. The Tenant Case Worker will identify individuals in need, and provide intake utilizing the Vulnerability Assessment Tool to determine priority, goals of each individual and their needs, and prepare them to fit or connect with housing that becomes available.

Duties include: to match clients with appropriate properties; provide direct assistance and support to clients in need to achieve sustained housing and self sufficiency and individual identified goals. Interview and assess clients as part of the intake process; support access to financial assistance; respond to tenant enquiries and concerns; complete regular tenancy support visits; problem solve issues when tenancy is threatened.

• Relevant post-secondary education; HSW, Community Support Worker or other related education and experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with multiple barrier clients.
• A working knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act would be a definite asset.
• First Aid Certificate, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Suicide Intervention

Other Requirements: Reliable personal transportation, a good driving record and a valid class 5 driver's license, as driving is a requirement; clean criminal record; computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email and client database; excellent verbal and written communication skills; must possess strong interpersonal skills and have experience working in team environment; ability to work with high risk clientele.
