Paradise Lake Retreat is a charming lakefront chalet located in the pristine wilderness of the British Columbia interior. Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway or a family-friendly escape, this serene retreat offers a tranquil experience by the water.
Here are some key features of Paradise Lake Retreat:
Location:
The cabin is situated on picturesque Paradise Lake, easily accessible in any season. It’s just 3.5 hours from Vancouver or less than an hour from Kelowna. You’ll find it minutes off the Okanagan Connector (Hwy 97C), midway between Merritt and Peachland.
Accommodations:
The spacious log cabin spans approximately 1,500 square feet across three floors. It includes two bedrooms and a loft, comfortably accommodating up to eight adults. Amenities abound, from a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and coffee maker to a claw-foot tub and shower. Electric baseboards in the bedrooms and bathroom keep you cozy and there’s even a stereo system, a wide selection of DVDs and VCRs, and internet access. The large deck overlooking the beautiful mountain lake features a barbecue for outdoor cooking.
Lakefront Living:
During the summer, you can bask in the sun on the dock, swim in the lake from the low bank, sandy beach and enjoy the beachfront fire pit while listening to the haunting calls of loons across the water. In winter, cozy up by the fireplace after a day of cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, or ice fishing. Rainbow trout are abundant, and guests can use a 10’ aluminum rowboat at no extra charge. (outboards restricted to 10 H.P.)
Outdoor Activities:
Paradise Lake is an outdoor playground. Explore mountain biking trails, go for a swim, fish, or hike through the wilderness. In winter, ice fish, cross-country ski or snowshoe across the frozen lake and explore the network of trails, meadows, and back roads. Nearby Kane Valley offers groomed cross-country ski trails for winter enthusiasts. Share stories, songs and roasted marshmallows by the campfire.
Stargazing:
The ink-dark night sky at Paradise Lake provides a stunning backdrop for stargazing. Keep an eye out for shooting stars and celestial events. Last December, guests enjoyed a great view of the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn from the lake and deck.
